Spring into Archery for Bridging Daisies

Date: Saturday, May 23, 2015
Time: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Place: Camp Laurel Wood, Spencer
Cost: $15 per girl; adults free

Get a taste of archery as a bridging Daisy. You’ll learn safety, voice and whistle commands. After warming up with a few drills, you’ll step onto the range where you’ll try your hand at shooting! Create an archery guide you can take home to remember what you have learned. *This program is for bridging Daisies only. Open to troops and girls with an adult.

Camp Green Eyrie Open House

Superhero makers at Camp Green Eyrie

Date: Sat-Sun, May 30-31, 2015
Time: 10:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Place: Camp Green Eyrie, Harvard
Cost: $55 per girl; $55 per adult

For girls and women only! Superheroes rely on their super technology! This weekend you’ll test out your inner innovator. During the day learn new skills to help create the tool that will help you save the day on your next adventure! After dinner you’ll have a chance to create your new items and share them at a Makers Fair on Sunday. There will still be time to enjoy a mix of adventurous activities like boating and archery, too! Come with your troop or bring your mom, aunt, grandmother or another female adult and join us for a super wild time at camp! Girls and adults may be able to stay in the same cabin or tent together or may be asked to have “girl only” and “adult only” cabins or tents in the same living area, dependent upon enrollment. Housing assignments will be finalized after registration has ended. You may request a building (with indoor bathrooms) for an additional fee of $3.00 per person; space is limited so register for this option early! Open to troops and girls with an adult.

Sock Puppet Workshop

Place: Drawbridge Puppet Theater, Lunenburg
Cost: $14 per girl; adults free
Attend as: Troop

This 2 hour workshop can be customized to your group’s specific needs and interests. We can turn these delightfully fun and colorful sock puppets into whatever you want them to be. Worms, dogs, people…the sky’s the limit! Come use your creativity to make a one-of-a-kind friend, and then learn the endless ways you can use your puppet for fun, education and entertainment!

Daisy Museum Adventure

Date: Saturday, June 6, 2015

Place: Springfield Museum, Springfield
Cost: $15 per girl; $7 per adult

At this exciting evening program, Daisies will be invited to explore the museum, participate in games and demonstrations, have a pizza party and receive a participation patch. Free and secure parking is available. Open to troops and girls with an adult.

Wild Women Weekend

Date: Saturday-Sunday, June 6-7, 2015
Time: 10:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Place: Camp Bonnie Brae, E. Otis
Cost: $55 per girl; $55 per adult

For girls and women only! Join us for this STEM weekend where you’ll explore the science of camp. You’ll be able to choose from bird or tree identifi cation, the science of baking, meteorology, wetlands exploration and more! But don’t worry, your favorite camp activities haven’t gone away; we’ll have boating, songs and games, arts and crafts, too! Come with your troop or bring your mom, aunt, grandmother or another adult female and join us for a wild time at camp! Girls and adults may be able to stay in the same cabin together or may be asked to have “girl only” and “adult only” cabins in the same living area, dependant upon enrollment. Girl Scout Day at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival

Calling all dance lovers! Immerse yourself in a full day of dance at the longest-running international dance festival in the United States: Jacob’s Pillow, nestled in the beautiful Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts. Whether you are a first time visitor or past attendee, join us for our 3rd Annual Girl Scout Day.  Enjoy a personal guided historical tour, explore the dance Archives, watch videos of past performances, and view the photographs and artifacts on exhibition. Attend an optional ticketed performance of professional dancers from across the world in the historic Ted Shawn Theatre or intimate Doris Duke Theatre. To end the event-filled day, spread out your blanket, unpack your picnic dinner, and enjoy a free performance featuring students of The School at Jacob’s Pillow Ballet Program on the breathtaking outdoor stage. Earn Jacob’s Pillow Dance Fun Patch. Additional activities and programming to be determined.

Taste of Camp

Date: Saturday, July 25, 2015

Place: Camp Green Eyrie, Harvard
Cost: $25 per girl; $10 per adult

Come with your troop and have a taste of camp. Spend the morning at the archery range, then join the rest of camp in the dining hall for lunch. In the afternoon you will have time for swimming, arts and crafts, songs and games. Girls will also work on the Brownie Fair Play Badge. Open to troops and girls with an adult.

Ice Skating with Wallace Figure Skating Club

Date: Thursday, September 3, 2015

Place: Gaetz Arena, Wallace Civic Center, Fitchburg
Cost: $5 per girl; adults free; Skate Rentals available
Attend as: Troop

Are you feeling courageous and want to try a new sport to earn your Daisy “ to be courageous” petal, or  participate with your friends in a sport  for  your Brownie, “ fair play “ badge, or work towards your Junior “Practice with Purpose badge “ or just want to earn a fun patch while trying something new? Wallace Figure Skating Club invites you to explore the exciting sport of figure skating!  You will participate in an on ice group lesson lead by a certified figure skating coach , who will introduce you to basic skills for movement and balance  on ice skates. This will be followed by an off- ice information session about the sport of figure skating. Everyone goes home with an information packet and fun patch. Please wear warm clothing and a warm jacket. Helmets are recommended and skate rentals are available.

Place: Camp Marshall - Worcester County 4-H Center, Inc., Spencer
Cost: $15 per girl; 50% to hold program date, final balance due 2 weeks prior to event
Attend as: Girl w/Adult, Troop

Do you love ponies? Come learn about out ponies in this fun event. You'll learn about horses, how to be safe around them, and their basic care. Troops will get a first experience of riding, when they hop-aboard for a short lead-ride ride around the ring. Tour our horse facilities, and get to watch some riding demos by experienced riders (when available). Spend some time creating your dream horse.

Superhero Epic Adventure at Clark University

Super charge your Girl Scout year with this epic adventure!  You'll design your own superhero persona; discover your own inner superhero through fun, hands-on super activities; master a superhero training course; explore the worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics with some superhero STEM action and power up with a light snack.

Worcester's 21st Annual Columbus Day Parade

The EcoTarium's Great Pumpkin Fest

Girl Scouts and families, come to the EcoTarium’s Great Pumpkin Fest!  See our incredible collection of over 1000 lit, carved pumpkins along the jack-o-lantern trail.  Don’t miss the free spooktacular science programs, shows, trick or treating, and full access to museum exhibits inside and out!   Wear your favorite friendly costume!
